PG-1 Trans Borneo Ride: Unity, Adventure & Giving Back

Miri, Sarawak – Mid-August 2025: The highly anticipated Yamaha Dealer Group Charity Activities x PG-1 Trans Borneo Ride captivated riders and communities alike with its robust blend of endurance, camaraderie, and purpose.

A Journey Across Borders

The ride, which began in Miri, Sarawak, unfolded as an extraordinary multi-day expedition crossing Brunei and Sabah, challenging participants with a dynamic terrain of paved highways, rural paths, and off-road stretches. Riders navigated each segment aboard the nimble and versatile stock Yamaha PG-1 motorcycles, some customized with rear carrier boxes and enhanced suspension systems to conquer the rough conditions.

Riders & Spirit

Participants included Yamaha dealers, passionate PG-1 enthusiasts, and members of the Henn Bikers Club—all driven by a shared mission. Social media posts captured the essence of the journey: one bike even endured a broken number plate, yet spirits remained high as riders pressed on through every obstacle. The ride wasn’t just about covering ground—it was about forging bonds, embracing resilience, and celebrating the ride spirit.

A Ride for Charity

More than a demonstration of adventure-ready bikes, this ride carried a heartfelt purpose—raising support for underserved mountain communities. The Trans Borneo route served as an engine for empowerment, merging motorcycle culture with charitable outreach in a meaningful way. While the exact beneficiaries are still being confirmed, the event radiated generosity and unity throughout its journey.
